1. You look tired this evening.

2. You are looking tired this evening.

3. The house looks empty.

4. The house is looking empty.

Sentences #1, #2 and #3 are acceptable. Is sentence #4 also acceptable?

Unusual, but I suppose possible in the right context.

My, the house is looking empty these days, isn't it, dear?-- with all the kids off to college and football camp, I mean.  <sigh>

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'
