When you are writing a letter for someone else, how do you indicate that? Thanks!

I would start the letter by stating that you are writing oh behalf of someone/somebody else.

Dear Mr Smith,

I'm writing on behalf of my Senior Manager, Mr. J Bloggs, regarding the results of the meeting last Friday. (20/06/03)

Does anyone know how to close a letter that you that was writing/typed for someone else?

"Body of letter"

Person's signature

Person's name

--> do I insert something here indicating who typed the letter?

This response is way too late, but for those who care....

Follow this link, and at the bottom of the page it will tell you what you need to write.  Essentially it is the initials of the writer following the signature.

Hope this helps someone!

Troy
