I am writing my OET experience-July-08 in Melbourne.

I am pharmacist and overall my exam was good. I am expecting at least âA or Bâ in all section.

There were around 220 students and out of that near to 100 were Doctors. Only 7 pharmacist.

Start with Listening module and it was hard for me because Sound system was not good. Eco was the main problem with sound. That room was too big and one hardly can hear. For some sound was too high coz they were sited in front row. BE CAREFUL WHILE SELECTING SEAT.

Reading and writing module is depends on luck. Whatever comes on that day thatâs your luckâ¦..

I found reading was moderate and writing for pharmacist was tricky. Please take some water and chocolates if you canât write for long time.

Speaking for pharmacist was not so hard. They will give you timing for speaking and be there before 15min from given time. Examiner was Australian lady and I was totally confused because that examiner didnât perform her Role Play in speaking. And she was expecting everything from me. Usually examiner asks you question step by step but this wasnât there.

Anyway, I will get my result in first week of Sep-08.

How much is the exam fee in taking OET?

OET for Pharmacist, do we need to get A or B only in one sitting?

I also found that Medical Doctor has to get A or B in only one sitting.

How about Pharmacist?

Is anybody having any idea about this?

Does pharmacist also need to give all modules again??

Only Medical Doctor ( Medicines ) has to get A or B in one sitting, so if he gets some 3 As with one C, he has to repeat all over again, that's what the medical council asks. Good luck everybody for the exams, don't forget if you get the result, just verify the copy of the results because to ask another copy, it will take one month to get it.

Hi, I'm a dentist too, and I intend to take the on november first. Why are you taking all four sub-tests again? It is not mentioned no where ( either on OET web site, or on ADC web site) that you have to take all sub-tests again if you will fail any sub-test. Anyway, good luck.

Hi Jignesh,

Here are some useful hints, whichever exam you're going to take.

1. Check your spelling. It's "writing", not "writting"
2. Check your sentences in terms of basic grammar rules. For instance, each sentence requires a subject (it means.../ do you remember ...), transitive verbs generally need an object (thanks for telling me).
3. Do not use chat style (u)
4. Learn how to use articles

Hi,

I know writting looks easy but it is not. I am planning to give on 18th July, means in next few days. I also found writting easy for Pharmacist. Thanks for telling your experience. I will certainly look for writting.

I am just wondering do remember any major mistake that u did in writting module?
and what u think why u got less mark in writting?

I took the exam in May (dentist), just got the results today (posted on the OET website), i screwed up the writing test (D), this was really surprising, i was expecting to have bad results for the speaking but it turned out just fine (B) and I got A for reading and listening. Bottom line, i have to take all 4 subtests all over again in september

Anyone has similar results ? i have no idea about what i did wrong, the task was to write a referral letter and it seemed very simple (obviously it was not).

Anyway, if anyone could give some hints for the writing test, that would be greatly appreciated.
