Go to the thread you want to post to, and when the post window is open, paste it using Control+V.

Others have suggested saving your Word file in Notepad, where only the text is saved, and then pasting that into the forum, to ensure no weird formatting things happen.

Re: Help: How Do I Copy a Word File and Post It To the Forum

Lingual Bee wrote:

Can anyone tell me how I can copy a Word file else where and then paste it in a thread here to post it.
Sometimes pasting text directly from Word causes problems, as the formatting doesn't always convert very well.

For instance, it may be difficult for other users to quote (and therefore answer) your post.

To avoid this, you can paste your text first into Notepad, and then copy again from Notepad into the Reply box here.

It means you'll lose your formatting; but it may make your post easier to answer.

Have a good Sunday,

But after right-clicking it (as I'm doing it now), the manual showing up with the option of "Back", "Reload", "Tag this page", etc, but definitely no "Paste" and "Copy". So I'm stuck.
Copy the word file.

Then open "reply" or start a new thread here on the forum.

Make sure your cursor is in the "reply" or new thread box, just as you do when you start to type.

Right-click your mouse. (Click your mouse on the right, instead of on the left as you usually do.)

See if "paste" is a choice.

-----------

You may have already tried this.

Help: How Do I Copy a Word File and Post It To the Forum

Can anyone tell me how I can copy a Word file else where and then paste it in a thread here to post it.
