I am using the Simple Editor under Mozilla/Linux, can't use the Advanced/Yahoo one, as I wan't getting a cursor in the posting window.

Not sure about CalifJim, I think he's using the Advanced one, pls contact him directly.

Are you both using the 'Simple editor' - please check in your profile (Site Options -> 'Content Editor')

After the upgrade to the site:

<> When posting I am getting oftentimes spurious <> characters inserted at the beginning of some of the lines.I have to go back to re-edit the postings and if I am lucky thosecharacters stay deleted and others aren't introduced in otherplaces.

<>I thought this was related to thealternative editor I am using, which was inserted by hitchhiker for me (using Linux/Mozilla) but yesterdayCalifJim told me he gets the same with the default editorand that he needs to go back and edit lots of his postings.

Pls do something about it, it takes us unjustifiably more time to do our work.
