I don't think the forms with "will" are actually wrong, but they are less usual according to the principle that we don't use the future tense when the present expresses the idea just fine by itself.

I agree with Paco on both of them. And in the last one I would also say; Which movie are they showing, for the reason that we do not know about the context, therefore this would bed more appropriate to use.

Both are acceptable, but I think the first is more common in this case because it talks about an already fixed schedule.

Both are acceptable and the choice would depend on the context.
     "What movie are they showing today?"
     "What movie will they show next week?"

Hello i had the following question in my exam and i think i was mismarked for it , can anyone help because my teacher says it wrong and my father says it isnt so here you go

d) Circle the most appropriate forms

1) According to the schedule, the conference (starts,will start) at 10 am.

2) Which movie (are they showing,will they show)?

ps: the underlined word means my answer which was wrong , so please see if that is right or wrong with a brief note on why.
