Dear Teachers,

1. If you never were in trouble, how would you know that I will come to your rescue? This is a difficult one to correct, I don't understand the time frame.

- " I will come to your rescue" means "I will come to rescue you", right? Right.

2. If you were never broken, then how would you know that I can make you whole? See # 1

- "I can make you whole" means "I can make you recover", right? Right.

3. She went into a store to grab a bite to eat, and took the chill off.[no comma], "take".

- What does "take the chill off" mean here? When I wake up on a cool autumn morning, I turn on the heat just for a few minutes to "take the chill off": "chill" is the cool air, "take off" would be to warm it up just a bit.

Thanks a lot to Teachers,

Stevenukd.

One possibility for # 1: If you have never been in trouble [in the past], how would you know that I might come to your rescue [now, or in the future]?

Re: TAKE THE CHILL OFF

Hi,
