 If words, phrases or subordinate clauses are linked, then comma is not needed. 
 conjunctive adverbs are also conjunctions:  however , for instance. 
 They are not strong enough to link two independent clauses only separated by a comma --Semi colon wanted.

 1 question :I saw some where about commas before conjunctions.(,)relating to subject verb agreement. about coordinating conjuntions. When do i use a comma before and,or,nor,for,but,so,yet. 
 ex:   John turns to Maria and escorts her away from Tom. 
 but if i had this sentence.ex: John turns to Maria (,)and he escorts her away from Tom. 
 Besauce the two clauses have there own subject verb agreements now.I'm I correct?</description></item></channel></rss>
