I can't tell you where I got the information. I just know it: I am English. You do have a typographical error with "churchfolk", though. You have written: "churckfolk". Actually, I'm not sure there's any such word as: "churchfolk". I went by the assumption that terminolgy and nicknames require that the punctuation goes OUTSIDE since they are not acutally quoted material or dialogue.
