Hi Feebs,
There are many other expressions of the kind c/o like:
D/O - daughter of
S/O - father of
D.O.B. - date of birth
Should these expressions also be written in small letters, but generally these expressions occur in the beginning of proceeding text?

Re: Yours truly, Jane Doe

neither - it is written "c/o ***"

Re: Yours truly, Jane Doe

Feebs11 wrote: Absolutely correct - but if "(late)" is inserted after the name, the interpretation is that the person in the address is dead. Hi Feebs,
Okay, now I get it. Should I use a period after C/O or brackets around it?
C/O. Mr. John or Mr. John

Re: Yours truly, Jane Doe

Absolutely correct - but if "(late)" is inserted after the name, the interpretation is that the person in the address is dead. Perhaps, by using C/O author of the application letter is trying to say that he is living with someone else like his grandfather and correspondence should be made to his grandpa's address.

Re: Yours truly, Jane Doe

Respected Sir, Yes, you are correct that Vice Chancellor won't recruiting new staff himslf or reading this application.
