By the way, it's not clear (to me, at least) whether you are trying to
say that you have no references -- no names of other people who will
support you in your claims to being the best candidate for some job, or
whether you are trying to say that you are writing for yourself alone
-- not on behalf of anyone else or on the advice of anyone else.&lt;br&gt;

&lt;P&gt;B is correct grammar, as Doll notes. However, if this is part of your actual letter, do you really need to say this at all? You could just start directly to explain why you are writing and what you want. eg I would like to apply for&amp;nbsp; .. . . &lt;/P&gt;
