This comma is known as the &amp;#39;Oxford&amp;#39; comma. Some people do it and some people don&amp;#39;t.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is useful when the last two items of a list could be mistakenly linked together.&lt;/p&gt;
