This, however, can cause both: serious accidents and disturbing movement. As a motorist tries to cut off another one he would shift from one side to another without signalling or looking.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font&gt;What&amp;#39;s the meaning of &amp;#39;cut off&amp;#39; in this context? My guess is merging into a lane swiftly. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
