Hello readers,

I would appreciate if someone could tell me if the following two sentences are well written. I doubt whether the position of the verbs did in the first sentence and could have never imagined in the second one is correct.

1. Soon did the group get ready for a pleasant walk.

2. We prepared for the first game: a mad relay race that we could have never imagined even in our wildest dreams.

And, of course, if you can see other possible mistakes, do not hesitate to point it out too.
