&lt;p&gt;I don&amp;#39;t understand the logic of this&amp;nbsp;sentence in italics. Why supporters of Clinton want to vote for McCain. Is &amp;#39;they&amp;#39;d&amp;#39; hypothetical?&lt;/p&gt;
