&lt;p&gt;1. Would it be possible to use the third person singular for the second condtional in the if-clause? If (it is) yes, then it would be considered real and not hypothetical? How do I know if it is real or hypothetical?&amp;nbsp;Only I will&amp;nbsp;know it as the person who wrote it?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If he was ..., I would ...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2. I have used a&amp;nbsp;similar sentence above, but should&amp;nbsp;I be able to use the&amp;nbsp;modal &amp;#39;will&amp;#39; here?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If that&amp;#39;s the case, wouldn&amp;#39;t it&amp;nbsp;make more sense to bring him along?&lt;/p&gt;
