&lt;p&gt;The first sentence is fine; though I doubt whether you would ever see or hear it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The two judges would be brawling &lt;strong&gt;with&lt;/strong&gt; each other or&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;having a brawl &lt;/strong&gt;(&amp;quot;each other&amp;quot; is then implicit).&lt;/p&gt;
