Or we can say &amp;#39;There seem...&amp;#39; as well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;e.g &lt;em&gt;I made one speech on the subject and I&amp;#39;ve not referred to it since, and &lt;span style="text-decoration:underline;"&gt;there seems&lt;/span&gt; no purpose in doing so. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/em&gt;I referred to the corpus and it returned hits for both &amp;#39;there seems&amp;#39; and &amp;#39;there seem&amp;#39;. However, &amp;#39;there seems&amp;#39; appeared six times more frequently than &amp;#39;there seem&amp;#39; in the corpus.&lt;br /&gt;This led me to think that &amp;#39;there seem&amp;#39; is non-standard.
