But in the above example, &amp;quot;&lt;strong&gt;each of whom brings&lt;/strong&gt; a different background and perspective&amp;quot; is a subordinate clause. What is confusing to me is that the &amp;quot;whom,&amp;quot; referring to the six authors, seems to be functioning as a subject in the second part of the sentence because it is the subject of the word &amp;quot;brings.&amp;quot; But apparently, &amp;quot;each of who brings&amp;quot; is wrong. So does that mean if the &amp;quot;subject&amp;quot; of the subordinate clause refers to an object in the preceding clause, its pronoun (whom or who in this case) should be in the objective form?
