Is &quot;an accredited university&quot; in the above equal to &quot;a qualified university?&quot; No. I haven&#39;t heard the latter term. &#39;Accredited&#39;means &#39;officially recognized&#39;. &#39;Qualified&#39; suggests &#39;meets the standard&#39;. I suppose you might say that after a college qualifies as a university, it has to be accredited.
