What is the correct form of the following sentences?

(a) I was very upset when the other car hardly missed me.
'Hardly' suggests it hit me slightly. I'd say 'barely'.

(b) He bought a Swedish designer blue big sofa.
Too many adjectives in front of the noun.
The standard sequence of adjectives is big blue , not blue big.
I suggest 'He bought a big blue sofa by a Swedish designer'.

(c) I like to invite you to my birthday party. >>> That's why I invite you every year.

I would like to invite you to my birthday party. >>> It's next Monday. Please come.

Best wishes, Clive

Re: Grammar and vocabulary

(a) I was very upset when the other car hardly missed me.

So the car hit you? I believe an idiomatic expression here is a 'near-miss', but I'd prefer something like, "... when the other car almost hit me." (a near-miss is a hit in my book...)

(b) He bought a Swedish designer blue big sofa.

"He bought a big, blue Swedish-designer sofa."

(c) I like to invite you to my birthday party.

"I'd like to invite you ..." is more polite I think.

Grammar and vocabulary

What is the correct form of the following sentences?
