  Given below are the answers to your questions:  
  1. The first sentence mean that Pandora was the first woman created in this specie and she was made in the heaven collectively by all the gods.  
  2. Even if you have nothing left, you'll still have the HOPE as it was the only thing that did not escape out of the jar.  
  3. This article surely is a piece of Greek........as far as I remember from what I'd read in school, Pandora opened that jar out of curiosity. No, the hope did not escape from the jar, that's why it's said in the last sentence "So we see at this day, whatever we have that, no amount of other ills can makes us completely wretched". I think that jar belonged to Epimetheus.
