OK, here goes. Binary only uses the digits "1" and "0". Thus "1" in decimal (the numbers you are used to) is also "1" in binary. However, "2" in decimal is "10" in binary. So when he says 'There are only 10 types of people' he is using the "10" as a binary number, not a decimal number. Thats why there are only two types listed, he said there were only two types of people by using the binary equivalent of a decimal number.
