I got this piece of information "According to the Gospel of Matthew 2:11, gold , frankincense and myrrh were the three gifts to Jesus by the magi 'from out of the east'"
I know frankincense and myrrh were important incense in the ancient time. Why are these three items be presented as gifts? Are there any hidden meanings they carried?
I'm just interested to know. Thank you.
