There are some slight differences in the pronunciation of the vowel sound in the first syllable: some people rhyme it with "core", and some with "cure".

'Spelling' - the sequence of letters used to write a word. So, for Europe, the spelling is E, U, R, O, P, E.

Pronounciation - how you say a word.

Listen to this guide: http://www.howjsay.com/index.php?word=Europe&submit=Submit

Re: Question about how to spell Europe

Nona The Brit wrote:

There is only one way to spell Europe in the English language, wherever you are.
