In fact, the title is in my language, I don't know the original title. The movie is with Nastassia Kinski, she was very young in that time of course, and the man is Leigh Lawson. It was directed by Roman Polanski.
I will traslate - It's (Tess - A lesson of life) I think there is a new version with Justine Waddell, I have not whatched that.

I've read the book and watched the movie! I don't know why, but I've never forgotten it. The first time it passed here, in my city, it has more than twenty years.
Nowadays, that story would be impossible, cuz in that time a woman had to be pure; but now it isn't too important if the real love exist.

Re: Tess of the d’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy

Has no one ever read this book???

Re: Tess of the d’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy

Has anyone read this book?
