It's the most savage practice still in existence specially in Muslim countries and mostly in the Pakistan. When a female goes against the values of the family or gets marraige against the will of the male members in the family they kill the women and there was a news on the media last few weeks when the elder daughter eloped with her boy friend the father called her telling he'd accept the man she's with and when everyone was asleep he killed all the daughters thinking they will go against his will and she too will dishonor the family.
