 Look at the list of celebrities and other wealthy people and you will find that an overwhelming majority of them are Americans. 
 Not to mention the US being a major economical power in the world... 
   
 I'd agree that goverment as well as army and secret services are often acting inappropriate,but let's not forget who screwed the whole thing up on 9/11 in the first place. 
 Also I'd expect America and other countries where terrorist attacks has happend to reduce (if not ban at all) migration from non-Western countries,simply in attempt to protect themselves.

The USA is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic. Sadly, I think less than 20% of Americans know the difference between the two forms of government. The founding fathers of our country hated democracy and I agree with them. You will probably (and wrongly) assume that I like fascism because of the previous sentence. 2. Capitalism is awesome.
