The rainbow is a symbol of gay pride or a way to express that you are "gay-friendly."
I believe the idea of "rainbow dust" is exactly what MH suggstions - they don't go around trying to "convert" people.
The statitistics I've heard most often is 3% of the entire population, not the U.S. population, but it's more "okay" to be gay here than in other places, so they are more open about it and do not feel it must be hidden as much as it might have to be in other cultures.

Re: sprinkle rainbow dust in the air

haha interesting but seariously I've never seen a gay in my life (I'm 20) maybe I just didn't notice.
This is actually a excerpt of a post under the topic discussing if it's wrong to be gay, someone said 10% of male in US are gay. I was shocked but again no one can verify his claim.

Re: sprinkle rainbow dust in the air

I don't think the above emphasize the right thing:

The rainbow (flag) is adopted by the gay people as one of their symbols.

"They don't sprinkle rainbow dust in the air" probably means IMO
"they don't proselytize" or "they don't give off

Specifically he implies that it is Christians quoting the Bible who condemn gay people . On the other hand he/she accepts gay people and says they don't bother you if you don't bother them.

Re: sprinkle rainbow dust in the air

They try to look inconspicuous.

I'm a religionless atheist and I don't see any thing wrong with gay people. They won't touch you if you don't touch them. They don't sprinkle rainbow dust in the air .
What does it mean?

Thank you.
