But I guess you just do not understand the sentence "you are so wrong." In fact, this is simple. The girl wanted to kill herself, do you think this action is right? Unless you are someone hates her and want her to die. Does this make sense, Milva?
BTW, this website is really great, people here are great! When we ask questions there, we should be polite; on the other hand, a lot of people asking questions here are not good in English, they maybe just do not know or do not realize the polite things or how to make things polite.

But if you care to understand the meaning of that sentence you have to provide the info people ask for: they spend their time to help you.
What's wrong with giving more context? The preceding paragraph is just a preceding paragraph (this is not a personal info).

Why should you fight?

Re: to be wrong - many meanings?

Hi, Kooyen the sentence is just like I put it here. It's a line by Marsha Norman, who apparently does not care too much if somebody understands her words or not (it's not my first fight with her writing). Then "wrong" can also be used in a lot of different ways when it is used in idioms (like "What's wrong with you", etc.) Your sentence is strange, I mean, I don't understand exaclty... As you say, it seems the girl has made or is making a mistake in some way. It would make sense if it was: You think you make me feel like a fool for being alive, child, but you are so wrong! (you think you do, but you don't) or: You make me feel like a fool for being alive, child, and that's so wrong! (different meaning = not morally right) These are just my thoughts, I might well be wrong.

Re: to be wrong - many meanings?

No, I'm asking you if "to be wrong" can mean anything else apart from "to be not right".

Re: to be wrong - many meanings?

No, you are asking us to guess what the mother means.
