not just for
"sporting"

The results are clear:

I wouldn't have a clue what you were referring to. Although, in theory, "good" can be used in its singular form, in practice it never is. Also "sport" is a noun, not an adjective. To convert it to an adjective use "sports" or "sporting".

thanks!

Thanks Clive!

Re: sporting goods vs. sport good

Hi,
Any difference between
sporting goods vs. sport good s ?
I dont think there is any even though there were 30,000 hits for sporting and 500,000 for sport. What do you think?
There's really not a lot of difference, but the normal idiomatic phrase in my experience is 'sporting goods'. eg 'This store sells sporting goods'.
Best wishes, Clive

sporting goods vs. sport good

Hi!
