&lt;p&gt;It depends on the context, but probably &amp;#39;effort&amp;#39;, &amp;#39;labour&amp;#39;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;#39;Idolatry&amp;#39; is rather an odd thing to say in regard to this.&lt;/p&gt;
