Mor context is needed. It could be just what is said - the world was coming to an end.

A girl is reminding her friend about a previous event:

"That angle two shot we did... At the beach. With the guy and the girl.

At sunset... they were so afraid to tell each other how they felt.

And the worl was coming to an end."

Maybe the girl meant that they were very broken-hearted. Am I right?

"At sunset they were so afraid to tell each other

how they felt. And the world was coming to an end.

What's the meaning of the underlined? Maybe "That was so sad."?
