I would use the adverb, 'wierdly' if I were writing these sentences. As spoken English, 'he's acting wierd' is more natural than 'he's behaving wierd', but I suppose that the second would be acceptable if the first one is.  With regard to the resolutions, both again are essentially the same in most cases.
