I am interested in studying socio-pragmatics because that field of study fits with my aptitudes, and, most importantly, desire. Socio-pragmatics is the study of language from the point of view of users and of the choices they make. Taking into account the problems they encounter in using language in social interaction and the effects their use of language has on other participants in the act of communication.
