I wish we had some national of the Countries we're talking about
to enlighten our discussion. To be true with you I think
all our five representatives will do well, except if they change their
target. What I mean is, almost all the teams that went to the world cup
after 1990, were rather competing with Cameroon, as to go further than
where Cameroon went. They were more concern with breaking Cameroon's
record than the competition itself. Do you remember Nigeria? Senegal?
I'm afraid that's going to happen to Ivory Coast as well, unless they
think for themselves and for Africa.
Tunisia is going to lead the squad, as it will be their secon time the

you have put the icing on the cake by posting this message because African football had shown another face with these new teams or these well-known African teams just simply in the way that we remembered their performances in the past year .Thus, they used to be the strongest teams so anybody can't help thinking the contrast.
Meanwhile, after this long periode of absence in the African football game nor in the world football we realised that there still be a big fancy in those countries of displaying what they knew about succer but within them we have Ivory coast which is in my money the best team in Africa nowdays notwithstanding the fact that Cameroon is a hard nut to crack of them .So talking about the chances...

Germany 2006: African representatives.

Hi all,
We all know them now, the five teams that are going to represent the African continent during the next Football World Cup in Germany. They are:
- Togo
-Angola
-Ghana
-Ivory Coast
-Tunisia.
What do you think are their chances, knowing this is the first time they happen to attend the biggest football competition.in the world? Would you have prefered to have the "usual" candidates (Cameroon, Nigeria,Senegal,South Africa)? Fifa has threatened to lessen the number of African teams to the world cup. The challenge is threrefore twofold for these teams: Go as far as possible(beyond the quarter finals), to maintain the African position, and....to win the trophee. Which one of the above do you think is possible? Encounters are never the same, and I, particularly, do not blame WOME that much. It's true he missed the penalty kick, but about what happened on the peach, neither of us can be sure. I know one think though. WOME took the ball from WEBO's hand, who was drinking water near the touch line. WOME wasn't even near to the place where the action that led to the penalty took place. He came all the way from the back side, grabbed the ball from WEBO, shot and missed. Let it be bygone.
I blame the whole team, my dear, specially for their performance during the second half. They didn't put up the same spirit they put during the first half. No doubt that Cameroon is one of the best teams in Africa, and I do
agree with you that we should play all our matches with the same gusto,
no matter what the opponent is. You made a good point by mentionning
that we're more serious when we play teams with big potential, and big
names. Are you surprised when other teams(less ranked than ours,
according to the FIFA) do the same when they play with us? It's easy to
get to the summit, but difficult to maintain oneself there. A football
team comprises eleven players, and they are chosen with respect to
their performance. But whatever the players, and whatever the coach's
words, if a certain spirit isn't maintained, then we can't expect good
result. Nevertheless,...

Re: Germany 2006: Cameroon or Ivory Coast?

hi Adomi!(nyambe nyen a om me hana)
