Actually, 'edition' is not formed from 'edit' as your claim, but 'edit' is from 'editor'.

'Edition' can mean a version: an account or description from a particular point of view especially as contrasted with another account.

I thick what you want is ' I do not understand the logic of your edit.'

'Edit' which is a now here means an instance of or the work of editing.

As I discussed earlier, trying to make your own words with affixes is a poor use of your time. There are too many exceptions and no rules.

I have formed a noun ,' edition',from a verb,' edit', by adding a suffix,' -ion' . In Cambridge Dictionaries Online,' -ion' is a suffix added to verbs to form nouns showing action or condition.As a result, edit + -ion = edition which means the action or condition of editing.However,the meaning cannot be found under the headword'edition' in popular dictionaries. Is the word grammatically correct if it is used in the sentence, ' I do not understand the logic of your edition.', and in other contexts ?
