Does your friend have a lawyer who might be able to give you some advice on what would be helpful and appropriate?

Reference letter for a custody battle

I need advice on how to start writing a letter of reference to be used in a custody battle. I know how to write a basic character reference letter, I've done those before. I feel completely confident writing in reference to my friend and her worth as a mother, my troubles come in trying to find a way to word what needs to be written about her daughter. I need to find a way to write about how the child has changed for the worse since her father won full custody. I don't even know where to begin or what's appropriate to write about. Can someone please help me?
