Here's a quick re-write for you..<hr>Dear Sir / Madam, <br /> <br />Though I was very lucky to have been admitted by the Laws Faculty last year and have studied it for 1 year, after serious consideration I have decided to study Economics instead. I would like to do my Economics degree in this coming term. <br /> <br />Though I only started Economics three years ago while doing it as one of my A-Level subjects, I have great interest in it and was lucky enough to achieve A grades in four of my papers and 100% in one of my paper in my Economics A-Level exams. <br /> <br />Maths is always related to Economics in many aspects, and I am confident to say that I am both interested and capable of handling Mathematics at this level. I achieved A grades in five of my papers and even got 100% in one of them. <br /> <br />Moreover, I was being elected as Finance Committee of the Students Union during my 1st year in the University. This gave me a golden opportunity in that I made decisions related to various kinds of financial and student welfare issues at University. It has increased my knowledge in Economics and also proved my ability in working as a team. <br /> <br />During my first year at the University I also participated in various experiments carried out by the Economics Department. I participated simply because I was interested in them, and received no money. I learnt a lot from those experiments and I enjoyed them greatly. They helped me understand interesting hidden Economics theories behind each experiment and my interest has thus grown even stronger during this year. <br /> <br />Although I have chosen to do Law, my interest and curiosity in Economics hasn’t decreased, I still subscribe to the Economist and read it weekly! I know that my real interest is still in Economics and Finance related matters. My father works in the field of Finance and the stock market; this has had a great impact on me. I’ve learnt a lot about the inner workings and functions of various economies and markets. <br /> <br />I recently worked as a Secretary in the International Company in Hong Kong for about three months, here I learnt a lot and my knowledge and interest relating to Economics has increased accordingly, my skills in working as a team and organising has developed as well. <br /> <br />Finally, I hope that in consideration of all the above mentioned points, you are persuaded that I have the qualities required and am capable of doing my Economics degree here.
