What I don't understand is: I have also mastered French and Russian. It sounds like I had exams about it. I wanted to say, that I can also speak these two languages. Is it still the same?

Beware the dangers of verbosity. I am unfamiliar with the phrase 'fair-traded' but presume it is a word familiar to those in the import-export business..

I am writing about the possibility of obtaining work experience within the ***. Currently, I am studying International Business Administration and International Development. I will begin my diploma thesis for my economic studies next semester and complete the first part of my studies of International Development at the end of this semester. At university, I have gained insight into business affairs and questions of development and gained a clearer understanding of the complex interrelations of globalisation and its consequences.

I am proficient in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and the two operating systems, Windows and Linux. I speak English fluently and have also mastered French and Russian.

I can offer considerable relevant work experience. In July 2006, I completed an internship at *** (an organisation for fair-traded carpets) and helped hold the ** event. I also updated their internal database. In August 2007, I volunteered at *** (an organisation for counselling, education and support for migrant women), where I did office work and vocational counselling of some clients. Please find enclosed the two letters of recommendation.

As studies of International Development concentrate on scientific research and practice, I can be a great support for your team. An internship would provide me with the ideal opportunity to enhance my knowledge in the field of development cooperation and may even provide me with a thesis topic for my diploma.
