Hi! I am Lya. I can`t speak english fluently. I'm too shy to talk to others becuase i feel that i will make mistake and they will not understand me.

Hello Samatha! How are you? Iam Lavanya leading my own business. I have also faced your problem.

Daily I have to speak with many customers in English. I have improved my language by speaking in English with my daugters. And I always listen to those who are talking in English. I make a habit to study English news papers.

And I am going to watch English movies and English TV channels like BBC AXN etc.

-->Prepare some standard set of question and practise to answer them confidentely.

-->Use very simple english..which you are very femiliar.

-->Read some communication books.

-->Try speaking with your frends and groups in english.....even when you are along speak youself in english.

-->Last but not least ....be confident in whatever you say.

I will help you

if you intrest to learn in english you first try to speak in english. and lesten english songs and watch's english news channels. And you try to abserve the pronounciation and you speak in english in your frainds. when speaking starts first you are doing some little errors. OK. No Problem. Whatever you'r starts with speaking. then you one day perfect.

Practice makes man perfect.

Hi Samatha,

In my opinion, the best and most effective way to improve your spoken English is by speaking English. Listening to others speak it (radio, movies, cds, etc) will improve your listening skills. If you want to improve your ability to speak English correctly and with confidence, you must speak/talk in English. I did that and my spoken English improved a lot. I do not know of your particular situation but do speak English as much as you can: with friends, co-workers, husband/boyfriend, children, etc. If you are surrounded by people who are not able or willing to speak English, try to find a volunteer job that requires you to speak English most of the time.
