It is basically the same as M.D., MBBS or any other degree from which you can become a medical doctor or surgeon. D.O. actually learn a little bit extra on top of the traditional M.D. curriculum. D.O.s are big on using their hands to diagnose and may perform osteopathic manual medicine on top of all the MD stuff.
