Dr. Ratnavel in Apollo Hospital is such a scumbag, he treated my sister 2 years ago with skin grafting, he didnt even dress it properly after the graft was done, and besides she had so much pain and after care responses from him were terrible, I wish we had a US system in India, where I would have sued this doc n the hospital like anything..she is still not healed from it, still has dark patches from the graft,,,

Hello there,

My 5 years old daughter was diagnosed with Vitiligo 3 month ago .I saw a couple of dermatologist .All of them agreed that there is no cure for it . finally I went to see the best Dermatologist ,I had to go to another city .He gave us 2 creams PROTOPIC 0.10% TACROLIMUS and PMS-DESONIDE 0.05% DESONIDE .He said it might help ,but he didn't give us hope. I was still not satisfied so I went to see our family doctor again and I asked for blood and urine test .I wanted everything to be tested ..everything ....tyroid ,differnet hormones....
The result came out and she was diagnosed with severe Iron deficiency .I could not believe it, since she looks fit and healthy . We started the iron therapy ,used the creams ,avoid sun exposure ,used black pepper and tumeric ,rubbed mashed fresh Garlic on the affected areas and PRAYED for it to heal .Now after 3 month all the white patches are GONE ! She is cured .
All I am trying to say is that VITILIGO has differnet causes .It is not just GENETIC or STRESS .Go do your research .You may have an immiunological problem that you are not aware of .
Be optimistic and do not give up . Do not listen to one doctor go see a couple of them !
I thank god every time I look at her.

hey i've had vitiligo for 4 years and 3weeks ago one of my uncles friend said he use to have vitiligo and started using dermatovate a cream from mexico and one of my friends is comming back from mexico and got me 5 tubes they cost 20 dollars each you could get em at tijuana i will let you know if i see any results..i also googled dermatovate and found out it contains clobetasol

I also live in Wisconsin and I am wondering if you have any suggestion on Drs. I was going to order Novitil but after reading that you need to sit in the sun I thought twice about it. I want to find something that works but also suffer from melasma which is dark areas on my face. They are really bad when I spend any amount of time in the sun. Both our on my face so not to easy to expose one area and not the other. Any suggestions you have would be great. Thanks Dee

I'm currently taking the vitiligo (3mths now) although there seems some little improvement, but am getting some weird skin reactions that I never had before. My doc said he has no idea about the vit-tabs and gave me steriod cream to try out. But am still taking my chances of finishing the 4mth dose.

i used the tabs for four months but nothing happends and my pathes got worst.

Hi - I am from New York and was wondering how you have made out with vitiligo tab? My husband has had vitiligo for years abd we would really like to try something that others have had success with.

hey i have had vitiligo for 4 year and im currently using pro topic but im not sure if i should use it for more than a month beacause i have heard that a few people have gotten skin cancer from it im not sure to believe that... is there anyone who has been using protopic for a long time and hasnt had side effects..im also using clobetasol..i have heard of many cures such as vermatogate from mexico and palo de brazil its like a tea or somthing have you guys heard of it ..im also intereted in the UVB light treatment has that worked good for any of you

vitiligo does not spare anyone, it is not an Asian disease and doctors the world over haven't found a cure-not just American doctors.

hi im a parent
i would like to ask few questions as iv got a doughter with a white small patch on her left tigh which was born with it, my cousin was diagnosed with vitiligo at the age of 7 yrs. my doughter is 1yr 9mths at the age of 1 she slightly scratched (with her nails) her tigh a few milimeters away from this patch and it is still white the same color as this patch. i asked a doctor and told me that it is unlikely to be vitiligo as she was born with this patch but brought my attention on scratches that were she bruises it could be that it will remaiin white. as ther could be a slight chance of vitiligo as my cousin has got it . pls help me i would like to know how can i be more aware of progresion of this condition as it has other effects. so i can take prevention and minimise its effects, signs and symptoms. or if i could put my mind at rest!!

I bought this table a year ago. It did nothing for me. Asked for my money back as it was advertised that I could get my money back if it did not work. I am still waiting for it. They say they will refund but it is now a joke. Yes I feel it may be fake. What a shame.
