 It's a good advice and I'll keep in mind for the future. I read a lot of novels but I unfortunately don't like read newspaper at all. Sometimes I read the Time or National Geographics witch are slightly difficult to translate than novels: many many new words to look up in the dictionary.  I meant exactly what I said. You can't learn to
speak or write in Italian by reading Italian newspapers. I
myself am not able to understand the meaning of most of the sentences
in there and, if you want to learn grammar, forget them.

The concept of reading in regards to improving one's own writing, is a well known thesis. You can, of course, take it a step further, which is the analytical breakdown of the sentence/column/essay. It is here that the reader dissects each grape like word, and when doing so asks simple questions, such as: 'Why Here? Why the image? You may also visit your favorite search engine and look up "RSS reader aggregator."  I use FeedDemon. The NY Times, Yahoo!, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post among others all serve their news in RSS feeds. It is a very handy way of keeping on top of your news and information.
