Good essay. Here are my ideas. (Also, did you want "context" instead of "contex"?)

Since then, Medicines Australia has strengthened the code by reviewing it several times and making some changes, including the addition ~~have been made such as an addition~~ of a ~~monitoring~~ mechanism which proactively monitors selected promotional material on a regular and ongoing basis. The Rrecent code also has imposed new sanctions for companies that violate the code, and has introduced a complaint procedure for alleged breaches. An independent study is needed to assess the compliance of advertisements with the updated code of conducts because voluntary codes tend to be reactive and does not attempt to prevent breaches from occurring in the first place.

(Unless you need to have only one paragraph, I think this would be a good place to start a second paragraph. The focus shifts from Australia to Malaysia.)

Also, I am unable to identify any study ~~conducted~~ that has examined the quality of pharmaceutical advertising in Malaysia. A research study there ~~in Malaysia~~ is crucial, considering that Malaysia does not have a national formulary that provides health professionals with an independent and up-to-date source of drug information to support rational prescribing. Therefore, doctors in Malaysia may rely even more on, and be more influenced by, ~~and influence more on~~ pharmaceutical promotion.
