They are incorrect because they break the rules of English grammar. The idiom is to know better than. The word than is part of the expression. The words I had are followed by an -ing word. CJ

Phrasal verbs drive me crazy. (Ah.... general English grammar, articles, idioms....they are all difficult!) I think idioms sometimes ignore general grammatical rules! Very confusing to me.
