Well, yes Spectacled-G, but I don't think native speakers use "is" because they see the rest as a "unit". I think most of the times they jsut use the singular verb because it's what sounds idiomatic to them, probably they don't like to use a plural verb next to a singular noun... CalifJim wrote:...
