Do you mean "(tigers) on the prowl?" (it can be anything on the prowl, the word tigers is not part of that expression). PROWL: To roam through stealthily, as in search of prey or plunder. IDIOM "on the prowl": Actively looking for something: salespeople on the prowl for better jobs.

I'd say "a sweet tooth", certainly not "sweet teeth". "sweet tooths" isn't talking to me, either, but I would probably accept it if someone else said it. In the first example cited, I sense the meaning " those girls have/has a sweet tooth", not that the girls together are sharing one sweet...

OK. What about the expression "casual life" itself? Although, as you said, it is not a standard idiom, does it make sense at all? If it does, what could it be?
