I have a good few acquaintances neither of whom prepared with a teacher. Does it mean if correct that you have several aquaintances who did not prepare with a teacher?

We walked past a group of soldiers, armed to the teeth. Is it obvious from the text that who is armed to the teeth? How would you say we went past soldiers and we were armed to the teeth, but the soldiers were naked?
