I would use mathematics instead of numbers. Numbers is a perhaps slightly archaic synonym for arithmetic -- addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Mathematics includes arithmetic and a lot more; for example, calculus and the trigonometric functions.

Dear Sir, The following problem eludes me. Could you please help me out. I think sentance number one is similar but not the same as sentance number two due to the additional word "related" am i right in thinking so . THe thing is the fisrt sentance here which says "mecahnical aspects" is...
